Rooms
Nine of them. Prices are per room per night and include breakfast, the terrace and as much coffee as you can manage.
Vale
Corner room, first floor, two windows on the valley. The largest of the nine.
Oliveira
White, oak and very little else. Morning light from seven.
Torre
The tower room, under the beams, up a flight of its own.
Rio
Ground floor, glazed doors, straight out into the garden.
Alecrim
Small, high, and built around a stone bath by the window.
Before you book
Arriving and leaving
Rooms are ready from three. We ask you to be out by eleven, and you are welcome to leave bags and stay for lunch.
Getting here
Ninety minutes from Porto by car, or the train to Pinhão and we will collect you. The last kilometre is unmade track.
Dinner
One sitting at eight, five nights a week. Tell us when you book if you want a place, and tell us what you do not eat.
Children and dogs
Both welcome. Two rooms take an extra bed. Dogs are not allowed at the table, which they mind more than we do.
