The single most common thing guests ask for at an odd hour is coffee. So the machine went on the first-floor landing, it is on from six until eleven at night, and nobody is going to ask why you are on your fourth.
The beans are roasted in Porto and change every few months. There is a bag on the shelf with the date on it if you want to know.
