Colour, and things to put it on
Furniture made to order in Kirkwall, and a paint range mixed to match it.
Slow furniture, on an island
Everything is made here, by four people, out of oak and ash that comes up on the boat. A dining table takes nine weeks and there is no way to make that shorter that we would be happy to sell you.
The Scapa chair
Steam-bent ash, wool from Shetland, and one colour a year.

The paint came second
We mixed the first eighteen colours because nothing off a chart sat right next to the wood. People kept asking for tins, so now there are tins.
Mixed here, two litres at a time, and matched to the piece if you ask.
Commissions open in March
We take twelve a year. Tell us the room, the wood and roughly when, and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.
