Eighteen colours
All of them named after somewhere you can walk to from the workshop.
The range started because nothing on a manufacturer's chart looked right next to unfinished ash under an Orkney sky, which is a particular and quite grey light. Every colour is mixed to sit under that light rather than under a showroom spotlight.
How it works
Eighteen, not eighty
Enough to decorate a house and few enough that we can keep every one in stock.
Two litres at a time
Mixed here, in the workshop, the week you order it. Nothing sits on a shelf going off.
Matched to a piece
Order furniture and paint together and we will match the paint to the actual wood, not to a swatch.
One boat a week
Tins go out on Thursday. Mainland delivery is the following Monday, islands the Tuesday after.
We painted one wall in Scapa Blue as a test and repainted the whole house within a month.
