Bridge parapets, A19 overbridge
180 m of parapet in 24 m runs, set out to 3 mm over the full length.
One hundred and eighty metres of steel parapet in eight runs, each 24 m long and required to hold 3 mm of straightness over its full length after galvanising.
The runs were jigged as complete units rather than spliced on site, which meant a full-length trial assembly in the bay and a bespoke transport frame. Both were cheaper than the alternative.
Installed over four night possessions with no site rework.
