£6,000 keeps a hot meal on the table every Thursday for a year.
Thursday is the only night of the week we cook. It started as something to do with the allotment surplus and turned into the reason a lot of young people come at all.
£6,000 covers a year: the food we cannot grow, the gas, and one paid cook so it does not collapse when a volunteer is ill.
