Forty new mentors
£18,000 trains, checks and supports forty new volunteer mentors for a year.
There are ninety-one young people on the mentoring waiting list. Every one of them has been assessed and is waiting only for an adult.
£450 covers one mentor for a year: the DBS check, three evenings of training, monthly supervision and the travel costs that otherwise quietly stop people volunteering. Forty of them is £18,000 and clears the list.
